We are gathering next Tuesday on the 15th for an informal Chowder luncheon at our old haunt, the Pig “n” Whistle at 58 West 48th Street. The time is noon.

We will replay some of our glorious picnic from August, we’ll share the plans for the road trip to the Classic Car Mall in October, and solicit ideas for timing a road trip to either Watkins Glen again or to Saratoga.

ALSO, the Chowderheads are invited to the annual VSCCA autumn rally, the “Nutmeg.” It’s a gimmick rally in that staying on course is pretty simple and there are questions to be answered from clues along the route. Some may be a bit esoteric… The rally starts at 9:00 AM at the InterLaken Inn in lakeville, CT, not far from Lime Rock Park. The morning run will be about 65 miles, with a visit to Morgan Motors of New England,and end in lunch across from a bright colored railroad Caboose. After lunch we head south with a visit to an antique machinery museum, a couple of covered bridges and a narrow gauge steam locomotive.  Dinner will be at the Boathouse in Lakeville for prize giving and the answers to the questions from the route.
